What is the procedure for a licensed carrier to become a member of the MWCIA?

The licensed carrier should submit a request in writing to MWCIA, attention to Data Services via email at info@mwcia.org, who will then send out a bureau membership package. It is helpful for you to provide the date of certification and if the carrier is part of a group. However, it is not necessary for the licensed carrier to contact the MWCIA. The Minnesota Department of Commerce sends the names of newly licensed work comp carriers to MWCIA. This notification by Commerce triggers the sending of a bureau membership package to the carrier.
